ExtraMile Convenience Stores LLC is a joint venture owned by Chevron and Jacksons Food Stores. The ExtraMile network is currently made up of more than 1,000 convenience stores in Alabama, Arizona, California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, and Utah. ExtraMile Convenience Stores LLC is a fast-growing franchisor expanding store count and geographies annually.

ExtraMile is looking for a Data Analytics Manager. This position will be responsible for establishing and creating data reporting & analysis to support business needs. You will support creation, development, and maintenance for standardized and custom reporting to the entire organization. The incumbent must be a strategic thinker with the ability to innovate and to anticipate the needs of the convenience retail customer. In addition, you need to be tactical and detail-oriented with strong analytical and project management skills. Some of what you’ll do as a Data Analytics Manager:
  • Manage relationship with Jacksons Food Stores IT department to support reporting needs.
  • Provide analytical support, as defined and ad-hoc, across the organization.
  • Develop reporting dashboards, tools, and insights to support business needs.
  • Develop internal and external advanced analytic capabilities to support best practices and customer centric business decisions.
  • Support KPI development and tracking across organization.
  • Identify reporting necessary to support goals and objectives for each department (Merchandising, Operations, Sales, etc.).
  • Communicate cross-functionally to educate on reporting standards and optimize per future needs.
  • Continuously improve analytical techniques, outputs, and standards to support business needs
  • Manage relationships with 3rd party affiliations (Suppliers, syndicated data companies, etc.) per scope.
  • Support Merchandising and Pricebook on pricing strategies, efficacy, and opportunities.
  • Work closely with Merchandising and Digital teams to accelerate business opportunities in Loyalty and Delivery spaces based on data.
  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and best in class customer engagement to shape business strategies.
  • Report out to EMCS Leadership Team and Franchise community as necessary.
  • Represent EMCS at trade associations, conferences, events, etc. as needed.
  • Additional responsibilities and projects as assigned depending on business needs.
You’ll be a great fit if you have:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analytics, Marketing, Business, or related field. A Graduate Degree. in business administration (MBA) is preferred.
  • 8+ years’ experience in the food retailing or convenience store industry.
  • Experience working with Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) companies and small-format retail also preferred.
  • Acquired knowledge of data analytics, methodology, and tactics.
  • Thorough understanding of the retail customer and how they engage and shop small retail food offers. Strong analytical skills using a data-driven approach for strategic decision making.
  • Proficiency with the MS Office suite, Outlook, and analytical tools.
  • The ability to be self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to work well in teams and independently.
  • An ability to work a flexible schedule including travel and weekends when needed.
  • May require travel up to 20% of the time as required by company operations.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, bend, and twist; use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects and controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk and hear. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. This position will typically be exposed to a standard office environment. While supporting marketing initiatives onsite, environmental conditions the incumbent will be exposed to include heat, cold, allergen, noise, and fume/chemical/odor exposure from gasoline and cleaning chemicals.
