Job description

We are looking for a Dental Assistant to help treat patients and promote good oral health practices. What do Dental Assistants do? Dental Assistant duties mostly consist of preparing the patient for dental treatment, preparing operatories for dental procedures, and exhibiting knowledge in all dental procedures as well as all office protocols.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible and understands all the treatment that they are receiving at their scheduled appointment
• Sterilize dental instruments properly
• Preparing patients for dental procedures and providing all necessary aftercare instructions
• Assist Dentist in management of medical and dental emergencies
• Transcribe completed treatment to clinical notes with correct spelling, tooth numbers, abbreviations, surfaces and measurement
• Ability to take quality dental radiographs and intraoral images
• Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
• Monitor supplies

Skills

• In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA)
• Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
• Outstanding communication skills

• Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

Experience:

• Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred)
