About the Position

The Development Associate performs a variety of skilled administrative and clerical duties related to development activities, performing data entry, and producing gift acknowledgment letters.


Duties And Responsibilities

  • Update donor records
  • Manage the External Affairs team's contracts with hosting services, vendors, and third-party applications such as Double the Donation, ClickBid, iWave, RallyCorp, Overflow, and other platforms
  • Perform gift entry and acknowledgments for all gifts
  • Managing development communications (development@ and incoming mail)
  • Depositing earned & contributed checks and cash
  • Pull donor records & create profiles
  • Provide administrative support to External Affairs team
  • Create & maintain External Affairs Procedures
Requirements:

Qualifications and Skills

  • Some college with a bachelor’s degree or experience in a related field preferred
  • Computer software skills
  • Familiarity in Salesforce, Raiser's Edge, Luminate, Research Point/Target Analytics, Google products/platform, and common office software platforms
  • Expertise in Salesforce, Pardot, and compatible programs and solutions
  • Valid driver's license preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to think strategically, keeping the big picture and broad institutional objectives in mind, while also being detail and analysis-oriented
  • Exemplify highest standards of integrity, professionalism, discretion, excellence, and accountability; demonstrates emotional intelligence and self-awareness; inspires confidence and trust; welcomes feedback

  • Must be able to climb a flight of stairs and lift/carry up to 25 pounds

Position Specifications

  • Schedule: Full-time position/non-exempt (eligible for overtime) with occasional evening and weekend work
  • Reports to: Associate Director of Development
  • Department: External Affairs
  • Location: San Francisco.
  • Preferred start date: As soon as possible.
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday with occasional evenings and weekends as needed for special events & activities.

SF Parks Alliance offers competitive market-based salaries which are commensurate with experience, skills, industry, and organizational budget as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes a generous vacation policy, medical, dental, vision, chiropractic/acupuncture, commuter benefits, a flexible spending account, Basic Life/AD&D insurance, and 401(k) employer contributions. This position is benchmarked at an annual equivalent salary of $53,889 to $61,369 depending on experience.
