  • Leverage industry best practices and experience to ensure that security is baked into deliverables from the start and that the project/program fully embraces a DevSecOps and “shift-left on security” mentality
  • Implementing a risk-oriented approach to prioritize work to guide Cybersecurity teams
  • Managing and growing an enterprise security organization aligned with our organization, business goals and security needs
  • Understanding our required security frameworks and regulatory rules to consistently achieve success and meet requirements in all areas of your responsibility and influence
  • Building and evolving monitoring and analytics systems to evaluate uptime/availability, app usage and performance metrics
  • Driving adoption of industry-standard methodologies and practices for infrastructure as code, deployment, observability, load and resiliency testing, and reliability
  • Defining and maintaining standards for Reliability, Availability and Serviceability (RAS) for onboarding of new features, products and services
  • Advocating adoption of Agile new ways of working and a continuous improvement framework to drive efficiency and enable business agility
  • Ensuring the team workstreams and projects are well managed, and that appropriate tracking and reporting are undertaken
  • Implementing a communications strategy and keeping a business-value focus
  • Leading incident response efforts, including coordinating with other teams to investigate and resolve incidents

Qualifications

Got the skills and experience? Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • 10+ years of experience working directly within engineering teams
  • 7+ years of people management experience, managing multiple layers of engineers
  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps or related field, monitoring reliability and scaling new and current systems using automation best practices
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Technology Management or relevant disciplines
  • Demonstrable experience leading DevOps and SRE teams, managing offshore and third-party vendor teams
  • Experience building cloud infrastructure to include network, security, container and identity as well as access management mechanisms and structures
  • Solid technical background and large-scale practical experience with infrastructure platform container frameworks (Kubernetes), production database engine familiarity and metrics tooling (Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Demonstrable leadership, influencing and communication skills, as well as the ability to drive continuous performance improvements with stakeholders, vendors and technology subject matter specialists
  • Technical understanding of cybersecurity requirements based on the National Institute of Standards and Technology 800.53, Cybersecurity Framework, ISO/IEC 27001 and other control frameworks
  • Experience working with various project and portfolio management tools and methodologies, Agile/Scrum methods required
