Job description

This position is responsible for always providing a high-quality meal to residents, guests, and staff. The DSD will participate in all aspects of food production. This position will be required to supervise other staff positions.

Essential Functions:

· Prepare all food in accordance with the daily menu planner, using the facilities standardized recipes, in a timely manner.

· Work on the food line during mealtimes.

· Plate food in an attractive manner and ensure that all condiments and garnishes are prepared and served with the appropriate food.

· Keep work area and serving line equipment clean and adhere to sanitation cleaning schedules.

· Keep stock rooms, coolers, and freezers clean and ensure that food supply sticks are rotated all perishables are labeled, dated, and stored properly.

· Keep food waste to a minimum by using food storage and food recycling techniques.

· Attending all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.

· Perform all duties in adherence to city-state standards.

· Be knowledgeable of various diets (mechanical soft, puree, diabetic substitute) and the individual residents nutrition needs.

· Manage Dining budget.

· Hire and retention of dining staff.

· Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.

· Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.

· Adhere to all policies and procedures of the facility.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
