Job Title: Director of Operations - Janitorial

JOB SUMMARY

Oversees janitorial operations and administrative activities in all accounts. Ensures that quality control measures are in place to maintain high levels of service with customer specifications/contract requirements. Maintains regular communication with district managers, supervisors and customers. Prepares account budgets and ensures that account remain profitable. Position reports to the Vice President of Janitorial Operations.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS – ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Direct and leads the operations of all assigned supervisory personnel in all local accounts.
  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation operations management. Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with Company policies. Ensures that all managers are in compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Ensures that all reports are submitted timely and accurately. Assists VPs with account budget preparation and assures that accounts remain profitable.
  • Participates in regularly scheduled safety audits, risk assessments, inspections, and meetings to determine the effectiveness of safety and accident prevention activities, and to ensure compliance with all applicable safety directives. Investigates employee injuries and follows up with proper reporting.
  • Oversee and direct management staff, ensuring professional performance maintained. Perform Corrective disciplinary action and positive reinforcement as needed with management.
  • Maintain daily communication with operations management and assists in resolving employee issues and customer complaints.
  • Ensure that customer cleaning specifications are being followed. Meet with customers regularly to gauge satisfaction and prepares corrective action plans.
  • Other duties as assigned by management

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. Will consider experience in lieu of educational requirements.
  • 7 plus years of progressive management experience in janitorial services.
  • Excellent Organizational, Customer Service and Management skills.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have strong computer skills, Excel, Word and Google email.
  • Experience working in a union environment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Sustained periods of standing, sitting, walking and kneeling
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds on a regular basis
  • May sit for extended periods of time during travel and administrative activities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
