Process Engineer - Director of Project Development

Senior level management position responsible for day-to-day operation and management of the Project Development Department. The position reports to the Vice President of Project Development.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Manage day to day operation of a group of about 10 process engineers in the execution of FEL-1 and FEL-2 process studies, owner engineer support, and other responsibilities as required.

· Make group project assignments, check project progress and work quality, assist as needed

· Train, mentor, and assist team on career and skill development

· Responsible for group’s performance appraisals

· Be client facing

· Assist business development in sales pursuits and client relations,

· Manage a portfolio of projects including ones the individual may be solely executing

EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS

· Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, master’s degree is a plus

· Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas or capability to obtain PE, is a plus

· Minimum of 15 years of varied process engineering experience with an EPC, licensor, or operating company in petroleum refining, petrochemicals, or green technologies

· Renewable fuels, plastics recycling, novel technology implementation is a plus

· Experience in executing FEL-1 and FEL-2 projects is required

· Manage and work on multiple projects

· Entrepreneurial spirit, ability to present in front of clients and industry groups

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must

· Understand the project development process – from the idea stage, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $215,000.00 per year
