Job description
We are seeking an Ecologist/Environmental Scientist to join our growing Environmental team in Peachtree Corners, GA. The ideal candidate possesses 0-2 years of experience (with internship or work experience as a plus). The successful candidate would support environmental field studies (e.g. wetland delineations and functional assessments, threatened and endangered species surveys, NPDES inspections, Phase I/II ESAs, etc.) and document production (e.g. technical reports, NEPA documents, permit applications, etc.). The successful candidate would be mentored by our dynamic team of environmental professionals while supporting a range of multidisciplinary projects. The successful candidate would also interface with clients and support proposal development.

About Our Team
Our team of environmental professionals includes biologists, ecologists, regulatory specialists, engineers, planners, GIS analysts, air/noise analysts, and community engagement specialists . Our environmental team is engaged in projects throughout the southeast, the nation, and the world and our existing client base includes transportation, oil and gas, renewables, government (local, state, and federal), Department of Defense, private development, and water resources and restoration. The successful candidate would be an integral part of our growing team and would have the opportunity to engage across markets and geographies.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Jurisdictional wetland/ water delineations a plus
- Protected species habitat assessments and surveys a plus
- Federal/ state/ local permitting & mitigation support a plus
Qualifications:
- BS in relevant environmental discipline
- Demonstrated experience supporting ecology field tasks (e.g., water/wetland delineations, protected species surveys, erosion compliance inspections, etc.) and preparing associated technical documentation are a plus.
- Physically able to travel and conduct field work on various project sites with challenging field conditions such as steep terrain, thick vegetation, and inclement weather
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills with ability to deliver complete and clean documents
- Willingness to travel as projects require to include occasional overnight travel
- Ability to work well within a team environment, positive attitude, multi-task, and self-motivated to produce high quality work.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance
