Job description
SUMMARY:
The Education Programs Manager – Data Management and Evaluation assists the Education Programs Director in oversight and management of NCA’s Partners For Student Success (P4SS) educational programs including but not limited to 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC), Say Yes to Education Cleveland programs at schools in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) and other related program offerings. Responsibilities include supervising Site Directors and traveling to different program sites to monitor program implementation, support staff, and maintain working relationships with school administrators and teachers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Management, Coordination and Support
Supervise Site Directors to meet standards and improve operations related to program administration, recruiting, enrollment, lesson planning, behavior management of students, and staff supervision.
Meet with Site Directors to ensure all required tasks are completed on schedule Build and maintain relationships with school administrators and teachers at schools served through meetings and check-ins regarding NCA program service
Be knowledgeable of 21st CCLC and Say Yes program guidelines and contract requirements to support Site Directors in coordinating and implementing these programs.
Coordinate program data collection for all sites, including program enrollment and attendance, student demographics, academic progress, student absences, and classroom engagement. Guide Site Directors in tracking and reporting program indicators including parent engagement, school engagement, community partnerships, and professional development.
Maintain data for all sites including daily student attendance, student demographics, grades, test scores, school absences, and classroom participation. Generate reports as directed for weekly, monthly, and quarterly review based on program indicators including attendance, parent engagement and school engagement.
In collaboration with the Education Programs Director, prepare mid-year and final report data for external evaluation.
Provide support in conducting assessments, surveys, and evaluations of services for 21st CCLC and Say Yes programs.
Help to review and evaluate program effectiveness to continually refine program for improved quality.
Visit P4SS sites to observe programs in action (both announced and unannounced visits) to monitor that: the programs are being implemented as designed; students are supervised; attendance reflects what is reported; transitions are smooth; and specialized providers are delivering as contracted.
Assist P4SS Sites in identifying weaknesses to address problems by providing guidance and assistance and/or obtaining appropriate resources (e.g. assist in student recruitment, maintaining enrollment etc.)
Planning and Development
Assist with identifying and meeting with various community resources (including nonprofit organizations, public agencies, churches, businesses, individuals) to learn of services, assess potential, and plan for integration into program services to enhance offerings, develop new programs and extend services.
Help with identifying and providing resources for P4SS site staff to address academic and enrichment needs of students.
In collaboration with the Education Programs Director consult with NCA’s external evaluator regarding data to be collected and format of reports.
Professional Development and Training
Help in assessing professional development and training needs of P4SS staff.
Assist with planning and conducting training workshops for P4SS staff.
Assist with annual Site Director Orientation, specifically in the areas of data collection, reporting deadlines and formats.
Attend Ohio Department of Education and other professional development seminars, conferences, webinars, etc. related to position responsibilities.
Other:
Assist with internal and external events and meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
Three to five years of experience leading out-of-school time programs serving school-age youth.
Experience working with diverse populations (racial/ethnic, socioeconomic, gender, age, and education levels).
Excellent communication skills; oral and written.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Proven track record to initiate activity and services.
Experience working with people, strong capability to build relationships with youth, program staff, school personnel, parents, and community providers.
Demonstrated initiative to plan, organize, implement, and evaluate services.
Willingness to “jump into action” wherever necessary to accomplish required tasks.
Proficient in the use of computers for word processing, data base/data management, e-mail, social media, and Internet.
Must meet the criminal background check requirements to work in a State of Ohio licensed child care center.
Physically able to perform job duties on a daily basis.
Valid driver’s license. Good driving record.
Note: Prior to hiring a person will be fingerprinted and a criminal background check will be performed. A check of the person’s driving record will also be made. Proof of any college degree(s) and/or coursework and/or other training and/or certifications/licenses must also be provided upon hiring.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $41,000.00 - $43,000.00 per year
