Responsibilities
Act as a liaison between the health system/market/hospital and area Emergency Medical Services (EMS) providers. Serve as an advocate of the hospital with private, local, regional, and state EMS agencies. Develop and implement a business plan, driving service line growth, and improving operations in terms of quality and processes. In addition, this position is responsible for ensuring collaboration across all care settings within the facility as it relates to EMS and public safety relations. Clinical (EMT/EMT-Paramedic) experience required.
Qualifications
Education and Work Experience
1. Technical training required to achieve EMT license.
2. Certifications: Certified EMT-Basic or EMT-Intermediate or EMT-Advanced or EMT-Paramedic (National Registry and/or local), Certified BLS, ACLS, PALS required. PHTLS, NALS, AMLS, TCCC, preferred.
3. 1 year EMS outreach experience preferred; 3 years EMS clinical experience preferred.
