The Engineer II, Central Utilities serves as the site SME for the Central Utility Building which includes Compressed Air Generation, Chillers, Heating Hot water, Plant Steam and Condensate, Power Distribution, and natural gas.
- Supporting the Engineering Team to complete biomanufacturer plant projects with current focus on successful completion of BeiGene Hopewell project
- Utility Design and support, Steam systems, Power distribution, Chillers
- Maintain and calibrate Utility Equipment
- Develop and maintain BeiGene Engineering process and procedures according to regulatory and quality requirements
- Understand operational requirements for Operate Chillers, Boilers, Water and Steam Systems
- Listen to the different voices and win the commitment of team members
- This role will be based in Hopewell NJ and report to the Site Director Facilities and Engineering
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Meet BeiGene business needs with focus on enabling compliant and operational readiness.
- Develop technical, operational procedures, calibration plans, preventative maintenance plans for responsible systems
- Commission and qualify responsible systems
- Manage external partners as required
- Manage the assets of the Central Utility Building
- Solicit and respond to user input with the team members and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external stakeholders
- Provide leadership demonstrating values of integrity, courage and passion and promote engagement and professional development
- Other duties as assigned
Education Required: Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field required
Qualifications:
- 4+ years in facility and engineering roles especially those related to utility generation and distribution
- Experience in managing projects and ensuring deliverables are on time and on budget
- Proficient in utility operation and management
Computer Skills: Strong PC literacy required; MSOffice skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Travel: up to 20% as required

Salary Range: $102,600.00 - $137,600.00 annually

Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
