Overview:
The Undersea Platform Analysis Group (UPAG), within Maritime Division, provides timely, objective, analytic assessments that integrate technical, operational, programmatic, policy and business analysis to NAVSEA Team Submarine program offices. Team Submarine unifies submarine platform procurement activities and includes the Columbia-class SSBN program, a Major Defense Acquisition Program and the Navy’s top acquisition priority, the Virginia-class SSN program, as well as the new SSN-X program, developing the next generation attack submarine, to bring improved capabilities to the undersea forces. Analysts supporting Team Submarine would continue SPA’s decades of support to the SSBN force or assist in developing the design requirements for the SSN of the future. These are high-profile, major acquisition programs of significant importance to the future capabilities of the US Navy in an era of renewed strategic competition.

SPA/UPAG has an immediate need for an Executive Assistant to support a Team Submarine client.
In this role, the Executive Assistant will support a NAVSEA Team Submarine program office charged with the planning and management for the early stages of a major acquisition program. Responsibilities will include executive level meeting facilitation and briefing preparations; developing and implementing office and organizational administrative policies and procedures; analyzing processes and workflow's, formulating process improvement recommendations, to ensure a smooth operation of the office; collaborates directly with a the PM, DPM, and Principal Assistant Project Manager’s (PAPM’s) to determine and prioritize objectives. There may be opportunities for periodic trips outside of the DC area to support customer meetings. This position is located at the Washington Navy Yard.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration (or other relevant field).
- 5+ years of administrative experience.
- Strong administrative, organizational and analytical skills and the willingness to learn.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and proficiency with MS Office applications.
- Current DoD SECRET clearance, or the ability to quickly obtain and maintain Secret while employed with SPA.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience supporting a Navy acquisition program office.
- Experience with and knowledgeable of the Navy requirements and program office organizations and processes.
