We are seeking a Facilities HVAC Technician to independently perform duties in all aspects of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. The preferred individual will possess a Universal Technician certification as required by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in accordance with Section 608 of the Clean Air Act. The certification must be administered by an EPA approved organization to allow the certificate holder to handle refrigerants in various appliances and systems.

The Court will pay for the following two certifications to be obtained as necessary: OSHA 10 and Cal-OSHA Asbestos O&M Initial 16-hour course (OSHA class 3).

This recruitment will fill a vacancy in either of the following Court's regions: Western Region (locations in Corona and Riverside), Mid-County Region (locations in Murrieta, Temecula, Moreno Valley, and Hemet), or Desert Region (locations in Banning, Blythe, Indio, and Palm Springs), as well as fill future vacancies countywide.

Essential Employment
Court operations are considered essential for our constitutional form of government in providing due process and protecting the public. Therefore, all Court employees are considered essential employees as they deliver statutorily mandated, time-sensitive and emergency services in times of local, state and national emergencies. This position is not eligible for full-time teleworking.

Public Safety
The Superior Court of California, County of Riverside continues to follow all California Department of Public Health/ CalOSHA guidelines, and state and local public health orders to ensure the safety of all court users, judicial officers and employees while balancing access to justice during the COVID-19 pandemic.

MEDICAL PLAN and Dental PLAN

The Court offers medical and dental plans.

Employees may waive the Court-offered Medical and Hospital Plan, if they provide proof of other current "group" health plan coverage.

(MEDICAL FLEXIBLE BENEFIT PROGRAM)

The Court contributes an amount each month, which is determined by the "Type of Enrollment" on behalf of each regular employee in a paid status, who is enrolled in one of the medical and hospital plans provided by the Superior Court of California, County of Riverside.

Flexible Benefit contributions shall be reduced on a pro-rated basis for an employee working less than full time.

VISION PLAN

The Court offers a vision plan.

ANNUAL LEAVE

Employees in this job class accrue annual leave; pro-rated if less than full time.

LIFE INSURANCE

Court pays a basic term life insurance policy for each SEIU employee.

RETIREMENT

Participation in Public Employee's Retirement System (PERS).

EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (EAP)

EAP is a benefit provided by Superior Court of California, County of Riverside for all employees.

HOLIDAYS

Generally thirteen days per year. Employees are entitled to eight (8) hours of holiday pay for each court recognized holiday.
