We are now hiring for a full time FedEx Operations Manager (BC) in the Manitowoc, WI area! This individual is responsible for the day-to-day operations of package delivery service within a singular FedEx Ground terminal. The Manager will have a strong daily presence at the FedEx Ground terminal and build and maintain strong, positive working relationships with drivers and FedEx employees.

The right candidate will be adaptable, calm under pressure, and have excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic. This role requires the ability to lead a team of up to 12 drivers covering up to 10 routes daily. Candidates must be able to consistently perform routine administrative tasks to comply with the needs of business regarding driver scheduling, route planning, vehicle maintenance, compliance, payroll, and other reporting.

This individual is an empathetic leader who has a mindset for safety, efficiency, and attention to detail. Previous FedEx/UPS/Amazon experience (with at least one peak season) is strongly preferred.

Compensation:

• $50,000 base salary with bonuses paid weekly; potential of $60,000 annually

**This is not a typical Monday-Friday, 9AM - 5PM position. The job will sometimes require long days and/or periodic Saturday work, but it will also be flexible with your schedule when circumstances allow.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must submit and pass a background check
• Must submit and pass a drug test and DOT physical (both paid for by FedEx)
• Physically willing, able, and ready to drive large step vans (P1000, P1100, and P1200) and safely deliver packages to both residential and commercial recipients
• Previous FedEx experience strongly preferred. Experience with UPS, Amazon, or other logistics providers is a plus.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Ensure all daily routes are staffed, vehicles are operational, and service is met
• Monitor, coach drivers, and drive a strong safety culture
• Drive contingency and deliver packages in the event of driver call-offs, staffing shortages, heavy volume, or other unforeseen circumstances
• Appropriately plan for and address unexpected issues such as vehicle breakdowns
• Plan for contingency; work with part-time drivers and other contractors to provide service in times of need
• Interview and train new drivers (Qualified Certification paid for by employer)
• Proactively monitor and coordinate vehicle maintenance, ensuring continuous operability
• Create and adjust routes in route planning platform (DRO). Training will be provided, but experience preferred
• Ensure driver compliance with paperwork requirements such as hours of service and pre/post trip inspections
• Communicate and collaborate with ownership and FedEx Ground staff
• Complete routine administrative tasks on time (payroll, scheduling, hiring, training, and other reporting)

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
