Ferti Technologies is a growing company that is a blender of specialty fertilizers for landscape professionals, golf courses, and the retail market. Founded in 1987, Ferti Technologies produces premium quality fertilizers and amendments brought to the market through a network of distributors and retailers while always employing the same exacting production standards. We are looking for a highly motivated individual, a self-starter, able to work with minimal guidance when necessary to join our team in Wallingford, CT, and work with multiple US locations. The successful candidate will be a team player, exhibit a positive attitude and be open to flexible work responsibilities and hours. Responsibilities:
- Prepare & post monthly journal entries
- Assist with the month end close and reporting process.
- Prepare and analyze balance sheet account reconciliation
- Analyze profit-and-loss income statements and prepare reports on findings
- Provides internal financial reporting to upper management
- Forecasts financial statements to evaluate performance
- Management of fixed assets
- Meet reporting requirements of state and federal governments
- Take initiative to assess procedures and controls related to day-to-day tasks and make recommendations for continuous process improvements
- Ensures financial transactions are in line with internal and external regulations/ guidelines.
- Respond to ad hoc requests for information and reports
Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field
- 5 years’ experience with a minimum of three years of analytical work experience in finance, accounting or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Requirements:
- Data analytics, financial analysis, and accounting skills
- Advanced software skills. Experience with advanced Excel, SAP and model building
- Ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships across all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated ability to effectively influence and consult with multiple stakeholders at a variety of levels
- Team oriented and thrives in a collaborative environment
- Deadline and time management oriented and able to manage multiple competing priorities
- Comfortable working autonomously in a rapidly changing, fast-paced, results-oriented environment
- Travel as required
- Values a diverse and inclusive work environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
