About the Role
Workday is seeking a finance professional to join the Product & Technology Business Finance (i.e. FP&A) team in a role focused on business partnering and financial performance analysis and reporting. We’re looking for an organized, detail oriented, self-starter with a desire to learn. This is an individual contributor role that reports to a Director of Finance.
Responsibilities:
  • Budgeting and forecasting - Drive monthly/quarterly/annual financial forecast cycle in Workday Adaptive Planning, ensuring accurate projections, appropriate level of reporting, analysis and communication.
  • Business partnering - Develop trusted relationships and partnership with leadership in our Product Development & Quality Assurance organization. Collaborate to forecast activity, support management of departmental budgets, and to maintain an overall control environment.
  • Business performance reporting - Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial review presentations (including collecting, formatting, and analyzing information) and assist in presenting the materials to senior leadership teams.
  • Ad-hoc, financial, and operational analysis - Combine quantitative and qualitative analysis to highlight business risks and opportunities for business units.
  • Work with business leaders & key stakeholders across finance to establish budgets, spend guidelines, & tracking processes for critical areas. Highlight opportunities for automation and process improvement.
  • Financial close - Prepare journal entries related to financial close activities (end-of period accruals, reclass entries), measure performance against budgets, and perform variance analysis.
About You
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3+ years related FP&A, business operations, or strategic finance experience
  • Proficiency in analytical and financial modeling skills (Excel / Google Sheets), with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Exposure to accounting principles (revenue, cost of revenue, operating expense) and their application to periodic financial reporting, planning and forecasting
Other Qualifications:
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and collaboration skills, you over-communicate, and excel working as part of a team.
  • Proactive, curious, self-starter with an eagerness to learn and improve
  • Willingness and ability to adapt to the rapid business and organizational changes that accompany a high-growth environment.
  • Process Improvement mindset and a bias for action.
  • Previous experience in finance, analysis, consulting, or related fields at a technology company.
  • Experience with Workday, Tableau, and Adaptive a plus.

The base pay range for the primary location of this job is listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Base Pay Min to Max Range: $75,400 - $113,000
