Financial System Analyst

Location: Preference to be in office Morristown, NJ / split with some time remote

The Financial Services Department of Crum & Forster is seeking an experienced Financial System Analyst with additional exposure and interest for Information Technology. Reports to Manager of Systems Quality Assurance.

• Maintain general ledger to support other departments in being able to produce timely financial statements over various businesses and accounting standards within the company
• Update system menus in EAS and OneStream as well as troubleshoot system problems
• Works to maintain any system import or export of files for audit and distribution through various departments across the company
• Develop and maintain best practice balancing workbooks for comparison of financial results over different systems and based on current required accounting standards
• Acts as a liaison between the Finance department and Information Technology
• Works with Finance staff in training and use of systems as needed
• Completes system audit review questions and is able to walk information between various business units while ensuring high levels of communication and transparency
• Ensure close collaboration with business unit leads knowing what to communicate and when to escalate
• Supports System Manager with daily tasks
• Travel into office for collaboration / as needed, to Morristown, NJ

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance
• Previous experience with Insurance accounting is a plus
• Highly motivated self-directed worker that handles multiple requests while producing quality results
• Strong documentation, analytical, and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to analyze system functionality and data flow to troubleshoot issues
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook (familiarity with Access a plus)
• Knowledge of SQL databases and basic query writing
