The primary function is to support team members with coaching, problem solving, reviewing / analyzing data, reviewing company leaves and unpaid leaves, training the staff and participating in projects. They will support a team of 8 FTE.

This position is full-time (40 hours/week). Employees are required to have the flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules within our normal business hours of 9:00am – 4:00pm EST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Teach, coach/mentor, provide feedback and guide others
  • Demonstrates ability in customer service issue resolution and relationship building
  • Ability to interact professionally with all internal and external customers, including peers, members of management, members of other business areas/segments, attorneys, etc.
  • Ability to multitask and shift priorities quickly, professionally, and positively to accommodate urgent tasks and to reach team, business area, and corporate goals
  • Solid communication skills, including the ability to listen objectively and articulate the facts of an issue verbally and in writing
  • Appropriately apply policies and procedures to ensure successful compliance with internal and external guidelines
  • Ability to take direction; respond to requests and feedback

Required Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree OR High School Diploma / GED (or higher) with equivalent working experience.
  • 3+ years’ experience and knowledge of FMLA and the application of unpaid and paid state leaves as well as company leaves.
  • 3+years of experience analyzing and solving customer problems in an office setting environment using the telephone and computer as the primary instruments to perform job duties
  • Moderate Proficiency with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to learn new and complex computer system applications
  • Ability to work any 8-hour shift within our normal business hours of 9:00am – 4:00pm EST

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Reside in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada or New York City Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $26.15 - $46.63. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada / New York City residents is $28.85 - $51.30.
