Position Description
The FMLA & Wellness Coordinator position coordinates and promotes DCO wellness services and activities. This includes the annual Harris County Employee 5K, health fairs, financial benefit seminars, and similar events.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Interacts with all levels of management and employees regarding payroll, benefit inquiries, FMLA and Wellness.

In this position you will process FMLA requests, certification and maintain tracking of all employees on FMLA.

Assists with all the daily operations for payroll by performing a variety of duties necessary to process payroll for the whole District Clerk's Office.

Requirements
Education and
Experience:
-
Associate degree in Business Management, Human Resources or another related field
-
One (1) year of related experience in Human Resources or Customer Service area
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-
Must have excellent presentation, analytical, decision-making, prioritization, and organizational skills
-
Must be capable of working under stress and managing multiple projects simultaneously
-
Must be able to establish and maintain professional and effective working relationships with the staff, management members and line level employees throughout the organization
-
Must be able to work overtime without prior notice and work flexible hours as required
-
Must be able to maneuver, including lifting and moving a minimum of thirty (30) pounds
-
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills
-
Must be able to work independently and make sound decisions while meeting time-sensitive deadlines
-
Must have knowledge and be able to interpret the laws, regulations and policies that govern Human Resources issues

Salary:

$20.00 - $23.00/Hourly

Salary is based on 26 pay periods

Commensurate with skills; plus benefits
Employment is contingent upon passing a background check and drug screen.
