We are currently seeking Junior, Senior and Master/PhD students studying Biological science, chemistry, biochemical/chemical engineering, or a related field for a 10-12 week internship during the summer of 2023.
Objectives/Goals of the Position:
- Evaluating the feasibility of a metabolic activity and mitochondrial function assay post-thaw and assessing the results compared to current viability assays for our cell therapy products.
- The goal of this internship would be to assist in developing a metabolic activity and mitochondrial function assay to help better assess cell health post-thaw.
- The individual will be responsible for harvesting the cells, formulating the cells, cryopreserving in a controlled-rate freezer, thawing the cellular material, and performing post-thaw assays to assess cellular health.
- At the end of the internship, the intern will be responsible for presenting their results and writing a summary of their findings.
