Can you market the world's BEST marketing? Muddy Gecko is currently looking for a creative social media manager to join our team in a freelance/contract position (1099 - independent contractor). Muddy Gecko has completed over 8,000 projects with our clients over the past 5 years and we are one of the leading on-demand marketing companies. Our client base is global and have included Intel, Mitsubishi, T Rowe Price, Walmart, Oracle, Micron, Canon, numerous VC and PE-backed companies, and many others. This role is open to US residents only. As a Muddy Gecko Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Social Media strategies for a variety of B2B clients to increase their online presence and increase audience engagement. You’ll work closely with the Account Executives and Senior Management to produce impactful content for the agency’s clients and the agency.. Please note that this is a freelance/contract-based role.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Develop, implement and manage corporate social media strategies
• Develop content calendars and recommend campaign strategies
• Create content that encourages and increases engagement
• Manage social media content
• Define the most important social media KPIs
• Measure and report on the success of social media campaigns
• Manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment on short deadlines
• Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization
• Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies

Qualifications and Skills

One year or more of successful business-to-business sales experience with effective relationship and communication skills.

• 5+ years of experience in Social Media
• BS in Communications, Marketing, Business, New Media or Public Relations
• Demonstrable creative social media experience
• MUST have previous experience managing social marketing for technology companies (portfolio required)
• Deep understanding of digital marketing practices and platforms
• Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube
• Strong command of social media best practices, trends and platform changes
• Expert with content scheduling and metric-tracking programs (Zoho, HootSuite, TweetDeck)
• Familiarity with web design, web development, CRO, SEO and publishing
• Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics and social media KPIs
• Working knowledge of popular photo and video applications including Photoshop / ImageReady / Final Cut / iMovie / Premiere Pro, and the Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Organized multitasker with good time-management skills
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
• Have strong attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills
• Self-starter with self-confidence, positive attitude, solid work ethic and a strong desire to succeed
• Must have own personal computer, high-bandwidth network access and mobile phone
• Ability to learn about and market various client and Muddy Gecko products and services
