BASIC FUNCTION:

The basic function of this position is to participate in the day to day dispensary activity, including prescription preparation, customer service, general maintenance of all pharmacy equipment, overseeing the purchasing and the receiving of inventory, restocking of inventory and supplies, general organization and appearance of the dispensary.

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Preferred 1 year of pharmacy experience and/or retail experience.

Preferred speciality technician experience in compounding and/or packagaing.

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:

State of Oklahoma Driver’s License

Preferred Valid OK Pharmacy Technician License

SAFETY-SENSITIVE POSITION:

This is a safety sensitive position because the employee is in the chain of dispensing medication and also drives a company vehicle when required. Applicant/employee will be drug tested at pre-employment and at random quarterly. Employee cannot present with a positive test.

SKILLS:

· Must be hardworking efficient and able to accomplish tasks correctly

· Must have solid organizational skills, take/process multiple orders and develop workflow.

· Must be computer literate, in the basic software packages; knowledge of, or willing to learn, specific Pharmacy based computer software.

· Must be able to communicate effectively with customers, physicians, colleagues and suppliers.

WORK HOUR EXPECTATIONS:

· Full Time (40+ hours/week)

· 8 hour work days between the hours of 8:15 am and 7:00 pm, as necessary

· Saturday rotation: Saturday 9 am to 2 pm.

Pay:

Based on experience.

OVERTIME:

· This is a non-exempt position. Employee is required to clock in/out every day and will receive overtime compensation for any hours worked over 40 in the defined work week.

PHARMACY TECHNICIAN LICENSURE:

No pharmacy tech license = NO PROBLEM! Paid on the job training available to earn your Oklahoma State Pharmacy Technician License.
