SUMMARY
– The Help Desk Technician will use knowledge and skills to maintain and enhance the network at Riverview. As the initial phone contact for clients, this employee collects detailed information and prioritizes service requests in order to determine resolution or a method of escalation. Candidate will have extensive one on one interaction with employees and residents and needs to have good customer service skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage all incoming IT support calls and emails, keep a log with all details
  • Stay current with latest IT trends and upgrade network components as newer technology becomes available
  • Provide user support for all printer and workstation issues
  • Manage computer hardware and components
  • Manage active user directory and computer inventory
  • Create and maintain documentation of environment and application configuration
  • Comply with and help to enforce standard operating policies and procedures
  • Manage new/existing user accounts for the internal network
  • Maintain company group cell phone contract & hardware
  • Support marketing with company website maintenance
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned
  • Adheres to departmental standards and personnel policies by demonstrating professional demeanor in conduct and appearance
  • Detail oriented, ability to multi-task, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrates self-directed learning and participation in continuing education through professional journals, approved seminars, etc


Hardware/Software administration, implementation and development:

  • Order and set up new hardware as needed
  • Provide advice on updating versions and patches of server hardware

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Qualifications:

  • An Associate’s Degree (or higher) in IT System Administration or in related field
  • Experience in a Helpdesk environment
  • Ability to trouble shoot issues and find appropriate solutions
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • A genuine passion for understanding and serving seniors and their families
  • An ability to listen to and seek input from various individuals/groups
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), Office 365, Publisher and other software


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft systems, exchange and cyber security
  • IT Certifications are helpful but not required, depending on experience
  • Effective written and verbal communications skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills


JOB INFORMATION
:

  • Full time – 40 hours per week

  • Working conditions: office and living environments. May require physical activity other than that typically utilized in such a setting, working with standard office equipment such as personal computers, servers, server racks, phones and printers. Occasional working on a ladder or other equipment as needed to support Riverview.
