What Makes Us Unique?

Hook Hall is a local hang-out with a very cool themed, cabana-focused garden and an indoor event space that can hold up to 700 people and is used in between events as additional space for our day-to-day guests. It is a place our neighbors go to enjoy a cold beer and catch up with friends, or to find the latest epic pop-up experience. It's a space designed to transform and transition throughout the day. One day we will have a garden full of neighbors with their kids and dogs enjoying the current theme, while inside is a Birthday party for 300 people during the day and a DJ playing at night once the Birthday is over. The next, the Hall might be turned into a pop-up Art Show or a Roller-skating rink for 12 hours.

A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A HOST

When you walk into work, you are ready to be a warm and welcoming presence situated at the front entrance of the venue. You provide an enthusiastic greeting to guests, check those with reservations into the system, guide guests to either their reserved space or assist in identifying non-reserved spaces for those walking in, ensure the whole space is clean, comfortable and beautiful, and provide basic information about the venue. At the end of a guest's reserved time, you assist in ushering them out of their spaces and perhaps move them to another, and you provide a warm goodbye to guests leaving the venue.

You understand that you have the power to draw people into the space and help them to have a fantastic impression right from the very beginning. In providing outstanding work in this area, you also know that it is the opportunity to begin to build yourself up toward other positions in the venue with increasing interactions with guests.
