GEM Technologies, Inc. (GEM) is seeking a IH/Safety Professional to join our team. *This position is full-time and will serve the Los Alamos National Laboratory in Los Alamos, NM.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Must have construction fieldwork experience.

Clearance Level Required:
Uncleared - Must be able to obtain and maintain a Clearance

Per Diem / Travel Authorized:
Yes

Overview:

• Support work projects in the field for a major maintenance team.
• Review safety plans and create Exhibits.
• Develops, recommends, and implements programs, policies, and procedures associated with the recognition, measurement, evaluation, and control of potential health and safety hazards.
• Provide daily industrial hygiene and safety support to programmatic or facility organizations.
• May manage and administer one or more institutional health and safety programs or services.
• Develop resolutions to complex problems that require the frequent use of creativity and where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
• Contributes to the development of organization's goals and objectives.
• Works under limited direction; receives general instructions on new assignments.

Clearance & Citizenship Requirement:

• To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.
• Due to the nature of the work, a U.S. Citizenship is required.

About the Site:

The NNSA's Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), located in Los Alamos, New Mexico, is a design laboratory responsible for the safety and reliability of the nuclear explosives package in nuclear weapons. This lab possesses unique capabilities in neutron scattering, enhanced surveillance, radiography, and plutonium science and engineering (_energy.gov_).
