Clyde Industries is actively hiring for a Gearbox Technician to join our team! This is a great opportunity for someone that is mechanically inclined that wants to sharpen and gain more mechanical experience. The Gearbox Technician will follow prints, drawings, and schematics to rebuild units to new conditions. Troubleshoot gearboxes, valves, and transfer casings to determine cause of failure. The Technician will understand how gearing works and how to troubleshoot mechanical problems.

This is a nonexempt position and our targeted hourly rate for the position is $19-$21/hour with the opportunity to earn a quarterly performance bonus and offers will be made depending on experience. This position is full time with comprehensive health and wellness benefits. The hours for the position are 6:00am to 3:00pm Monday to Friday. Overtime and Saturday work may be required and mandatory based on business need. Clyde Industries is located at: 4015 Presidential Parkway Atlanta, GA USA 30340

Summary of Responsibilities (not comprehensive of all tasks):

• Troubleshoot gearboxes, valves, and transfer cases to determine cause of failure
• Rebuild units to new condition using drawings and schematics
• Identify and understand mechanical problems with gearing
• Operate pneumatic and manual tools

Qualifications:

• Must be able to read mechanical prints, drawings, and schematics
• Must be able to operate pneumatic tools, hydraulic presses, saws, and hand tools
• Must possess mechanical aptitude
• Manual dexterity
• Technical aptitude, math skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude always in a dynamic work environment.
• Availability during hours of operations including morning and weekends as required.
• Reliability and punctuality.
• Commitment to continuous learning and training opportunities that support job responsibilities.
• Work well as part of a team as well as independently.
• Self-motivated, organized, and detail oriented.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Ability to continuously stand or walk.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required. Cross-discipline (Mechanical/Electrical) familiarity is preferred. Periodic educational training will be required.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
