Southeast Michigan Community Alliance (SEMCA) is recruiting talented professionals who want to contribute and make a difference in our southeast Michigan community!! SEMCA is a Michigan Works! Agency providing workforce development programs to residents in Wayne and Monroe counties, excluding the city of Detroit. Employees are permitted to work remotely three days per week and only required to perform duties in the Taylor administrative office two days a week.

Job Summary
Assist the Chief Information Officer with the development of information technology strategies and manages team accountability to deliver results.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide support to end users with technology related issues on a tied basis. Troubleshoot and resolve user and network issues as needed.
- Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards; monitor ticket system, ensure support tickets are resolved in a timely fashion.
- Develop, refine, and implement security procedures, backup schedules, and server/end point protection processes. Continuously improve security and emergency management protocols.
- Develop, refine, and implement network troubleshooting and maintenance strategies to help reduce downtime and decrease maintenance costs.
- Assist with managing the development, implementation, installation, and operation of information and functional systems for the organization.
- Implement backup and restoration of critical systems. Designs and implements disaster recovery plans.
- Identify and manage issues and roadblocks and take early action to resolve and address impacts.
- Assists in the development plans for systems development and operations, hardware and software purchases, budget, and staffing. Develop and manage RFP process for hardware/software acquisitions.
- Act as liaison for SEMCA to deal with maintenance/repair issues for computer systems, peripheral equipment, phone system, fax machines and copiers, except supplies and consumables.
Qualifications
All SEMCA team members are expected to be technically competent and committed to continuous development of their skills. The following skills, knowledge and education or certifications are specifically required for this position:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- In lieu of Bachelor’s degree, a minimum five (5) years of relevant work experience is acceptable
- Minimum five (5) years of experience working in an IT technical support lead or similar support role
- Proficient at troubleshooting issues including hardware, software and people related
- Good people/communication skills
- Must be a team-oriented professional who can handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft 365, computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems
Physical Demands
Duties require sufficient mobility to work in a normal office setting and use standard office equipment including a computer, vision to read printed materials on an LCD screen and smartphone, hearing, and speech sufficient to communicate in person and over the telephone.
