JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Supervisor/Case Manager
Site: 93706 Neighborhood Resource Center
Department: Immigration Services
FTE Classification: 37.5 hours/week, FTE Non-Exempt
Hourly Rate Range: $24-26.15
Report To: Deputy Director
Location: Fresno County

THE PROGRAM:
Centro La Familia Advocacy Services (CLFA) through the California Department of Social Services (CDSS), Immigration Integration Branch is implementing its Opportunities for Youth immigration program (OFY). The purpose of the program is to provide services that support Unaccompanied Undocumented Minors (youth) and their families living in Mendota. Services for youth will improve post placement outcomes, foster socio-emotional development, build supportive relationships and strengthen their independent living skills.

BASIC FUNCTIONS:
The Supervisor/Case Manager will oversee all services and ensure they are carried out following guidelines set by CDSS and CLFA. The Supervisor/Case Manager takes responsibility for supervision of staff in the project, working with subcontractor, and case management. They will also provide direct services to clients including intake, case assessment and linkages as well as coordinate meetings and trainings, meeting all reporting requirements, case management supervision and all other duties as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee delivery of services to Unaccompanied Undocumented Minors living in Mendota, California
  • Follow CLFA’s established service delivery model and ensure services are culturally and linguistically appropriate
  • Implement intake, screenings, and linkages to clients
  • Conduct comprehensive case management with detailed case notes
  • Interpret rules and regulations on various immigration topics
  • Coordinate service delivery with subcontractor and support youth mentorship activities
  • Enhance working relationships with Mendota stakeholders including local schools, City of Mendota, Community Based Organizations and others
  • Meet all reporting requirements in the program as required by CDSS, CLFA and others
  • Implement and meet all evaluation activities with partners
  • Link parents to parent support services
  • Link clients to food, basic necessities, clothing, support groups and others
  • Coordinate and participate in ongoing meetings, trainings, weekly case review activities and others
  • Meeting administrative requirements for staff
  • Participate in community health fairs, presentations, and forums
  • Follow COVID-19 safety guidelines
  • Responsible for ensuring confidentiality when implementing services
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA in social work, pre-law/criminal justice or related field
  • Experience and knowledge of immigration laws, rules and practices
  • Minimum three years in workings as an immigration advocate, social worker or other related work field
  • Bilingual a plus, preferably in English/Spanish
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook Express, as well as data entry
  • Ability to comply with regulations and communicate official information in an appropriate manner
  • Advanced ability to coordinate efforts, facilitate intervention, and maintain records
  • Exceptional organizational skills and sound judgment
  • Valid CA driver’s license and auto insurance

Reporting & Record-Keeping:

  • Utilize data collection tools to document program activities for reporting
  • Keep all files/matters accurate and confidential pursuant to CLFA’s established case file protocols and policies
  • Document the timely completion of contractual goals and objectives, including internal and external reports
  • Use tools to document and track program progress which include: demographic forms, screening tools, assessment outcomes, updates on social media, sign in sheets, etc.

TRAINING AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

  • Satisfactorily completion of assigned trainings and coordination efforts with subcontractor, evaluator and partners as required
  • Attend mandatory training as part of their orientation and onboarding and will comply with state and federal regulatory requirements related to protected health information and privacy

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: The office setting is a normal environment.
Occasionally work during early morning, evening, or weekend. May me subject to temperature variances outdoor during events.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires sitting, standing, or walking for up to eight hours a day. Some bending, stretching, or reaching may be necessary. Lifting to 40 pounds may be required on occasion. Vision must be correctable to 20/20 and hearing must be in the normal range for telephone contact.
