The Inotiv IT organization is looking for an energetic professional to provide IT support for the Maryland Heights / St Louis area sites. The role focuses on providing technical IT support to enhance the business operations of the location(s).
Responsibilities:
This person needs both the organizational and communication skills to work in a professional and high paced environment. The IT Support Specialist will need technical acumen along with a fantastic customer service approach to daily work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIB ILITES :
- Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, mobile devices and other peripherals.
- Develop, maintain, support, secure and optimize key functional areas, particularly laboratory information systems, local and wide area network infrastructure, active directory and server infrastructure, firewalls, data communications, and telecommunications systems.
- Responsible for the archiving of study data to network archive drives as specified in system/instrument specific SOPs.
- Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.
- Manage and coordinate work activities with dedicated 3rd party IT support services.
- Benchmark, analyses, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems.
- Negotiate and administer vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements.
- Direct research on potential technology solutions in support of procurement efforts.
- Keep current with the latest technologies.
- Work with the various operational units and corporate IT to determine and deliver IT needs.
- Assist with the management of infrastructure assets into including contracts, licensing, and asset management
- Provide IT support for validation projects of new and current information systems. Participate in the development, review, and approval of validation deliverables and test scripts.
- Works with System Owners and SMEs to provide general IT support for validated applications (i.e.Calibration Manager, Empower, Ponemah, Provantis).
- Assist with client and regulatory visits.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Experience: Minimum of five (5) years related IT experience
Ability to support a services-oriented approach to plan, coordinate, design and direct IT-related solutions for the organization.- Ability to multi-task and participate in multiple projects and department initiatives concurrently.
- Ability to function effectively independently, as necessary, and lead others to achieve department goals.
- Demonstrate understanding and expertise with company SOPs and GLP requirements relative to providing IT support.
- Overtime and weekend work as required.
- Work may require the use of PPE (personal protective equipment)
- Experience with server infrastructure implementation and networking
- Working knowledge and understanding of current Cloud Computing technologies, strategies & solutions Business acumen –understanding of customer value
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to work/type at a computer.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
- Some travel will be required depending on the nature of the transactions and projects.
This position could be offered at different levels for candidates who qualify with a combination of advanced levels of education and/or years of experience. The salary range will adjust along with the level of the role to match the person’s relevant experience and/or education level.
