School-Age Child Care Aide - Bay View Kids’ Zone

2022/2023 School Year

Duties and responsibilities include: Supervision of youth in a before & after school program setting, while maintaining a safe and engaging learning environment. Kids’ Zone aides will plan and implement high-quality academic and enrichment activities centered around youth interests and needs. Participate in ongoing professional development, idea-sharing, and collaboration across Community Education programs and K-12 educational system, and promotion of ideals of the Community Education philosophy and Hermantown Community Schools.

Minimum Qualifications: Age 16 + .Preference will be given to candidates with strong communication, organizational, collaboration, and youth programming skills.

Work Schedule: Very Flexible Schedule! We are looking for morning shifts at Pike Lake Monday -Friday 7-9 AM and Bay View Monday - Friday 7-8:15 AM and some afternoon shifts 2:30-5 PM. The work schedule is determined by the Kids’ Zone Site Manager along with the Youth and School Age Child Care Coordinator. All hours are scheduled to meet the needs of the Kids’ Zone hours of operation.

Hours of operation: Pike Lake 6:30 AM - 9:00 AM & 3:00 PM - 5:30 PM and Bay View 6:30 -8:15 AM & 2:30PM -5:30 PM Monday - Friday (no weekends, holidays, or scheduled school breaks) Just mornings or afternoons available or combination of both.

Compensation: $14.32-$16.54 based on relative experience. Can work up to 14 hours per week (program only offered on scheduled school days)
