Job description

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of and the ability to use practical electronic and mechanical theory, and be able to work from schematics and rough sketches.
  • Must have a general understanding of basic analog and digital electronics, three phase electricity, and motors.
  • Must have a working knowledge of computers for industrial controls (PLCs).
  • Able to read PLC code for troubleshooting system problems.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
Advanced Qualifications: (optional but desirable)
  • Experience with Airport conveyor systems, high voltage ,* RF power *, Allen Bradley PLCs (PLC5, ControlLogix)
Education and Experience:
7-10 years of Conveyor maintenance and PLC controls.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Maintenance:
  • Perform repairs & maintenance on mechanical systems (i.e. chains, motors, pneumatics, bearings, rollers, sprockets)
  • Use test equipment (digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, etc) to troubleshoot circuits down to the component level and provide escalated maintenance managers in preventative maintenance plans and upgrades.
  • Provide after-hours telephone and remote access technical support as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for scheduling & training personnel as well as tracking all maintenance equipment & facility needs
  • Scheduling and assigning job duties throughout the shift.
  • Working directly with station leadership and Customers.

Security requirements:
Must be able to pass a 10 year background check.
