The Lead Data Steward will be the key driver of high quality and complete product data for the Flow Systems and Water Distribution Business Unit (also known as Drains & Site Works). The individual will oversee the product line’s
item and bill of materials (“BOM”) setup and maintenance within Zurn Elkay's ERP and PIM solutions. They will be responsible for tracking data collection for new product launches to ensure our partners receive data and assets on time for product launch. Completes projects and related tasks, as assigned, to support the overall department goals. Recommends changes and enhancements to our current systems. This role will work with multiple departments including exposure to Product Managers, Product Marketing, Engineering, IT, Sales, Finance, and other internal departments.

  • Oversee product line item and BOM setups in AX / D365

  • Collect and track product data readiness for new product launches and strategic initiatives

  • Maintain product data SOPs, data standards & definitions

  • Enforce data process & standards for product line

  • Collaborate with multiple departments in conducting item & BOM audits

  • Verifies data accuracy and analyze data quality issues and recommends a plan to resolve

  • Assist with data requests by collaborating with cross-functional departments

  • Collaborates with various groups and departments to understand requested changes and impacts.

  • Responsible for data being loaded into the systems, including coordinating with CoE partners, manually loading data, and/or submitting IT tickets.

  • Completes project work as assigned to investigate, evaluate, and provide recommendations.

  • Drives for opportunities to improve and recommends changes and enhancements to our systems and processes.

  • Carry out special projects as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Technical college degree (associates level or above) required, or equivalent experience (2+ years)

  • D365 experience a plus. InRiver experience a plus. Flow Systems and Water product knowledge preferred.

  • Experience collecting, organizing, and/or analyzing data for accuracy

  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within an ERP environment

  • Resolves most questions and problems; escalates most complex problems to higher levels.

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and in team environments

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Understands how team contributes to the organization success.

  • Knowledge of product attributes and how changes affect various parts of the business
