Hopscotch Kids Preschool is currently seeking to hire preschool teachers and assistant teachers for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. Hopscotch Kids Preschool is a private, fitness-based preschool program for students 3 & 4 years old and is located inside of Hopscotch Gymnastics.

Applicants must have previous experience working with children with prior preschool teaching experience preferred. Preschool teachers and assistant teachers will need to provide:

• Previous work history
• 3 written character references
• Proof of Education and Teaching Credentials

Job Requirements include:

• Working with 3 and 4 year old students
• Weekly availability Monday - Wednesday 8:30am to 1:30pm, Thursday 8:30am to 3:30pm
• Clean background check

Responsibilities include:

• Providing a warm and welcoming environment for students to excel and thrive.
• Arriving to work on time, looking professional and well-kept.
• The ability to politely communicate with parents, students and staff.
• Collaborating daily with fellow teaching staff and preschool director.
• Provide a clean, fun and inviting classroom that encourages creativity and student-guided learning.
• Implementation of daily schedule and age appropriate activities, including the ability to prepare lessons weeks in advance.
• Aligning daily lesson plans to school curriculum and phonics-based learning.
• Full compliance to preschool and facility procedures and policies.
• Upholding a high academic standard for students with the ability to modify curriculum accordingly.

At Hopscotch Kids Preschool, we follow the yearly school calendar set by the Montgomery County Public Schools. Teacher and assistant teacher contracts are based on a 10-month academic school calendar (August-May).

Compensation is salaried and based on experience. Employee benefits include tuition discounts for preschool/gymnastics classes.
