Butterfly Counseling was founded in January of 2022 by April Sunshine Dupree, M.A.,
LCMHC. The name, Butterfly Counseling, was lovingly chosen in honor of her late mother, who regularly visits April in the form of yellow butterflies.

Here at Butterfly Counseling we will listen with no judgment and will understand from all points of views.

As a private practice, we provide counseling to children (4+), adolescents, and adults. We offer a variety of therapeutic techniques that include: Art Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and
Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior
Therapy (DBT) Family Therapy, Individual Therapy, Play Therapy, Brief Focused Therapy,
Solution Based Therapy, Exposure Therapy, and Christian Counseling.

Butterfly Counseling, PLLC serving Lillington and surrounding areas of Harnett County, NC with in person and teletherapy counseling options.
The company is credentialed with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, and MedCost Insurances, and we are waiting on Tricare and Aetna.

Position Description:
Butterfly Counseling is looking to expand our wings to hire a full time licensed therapist who specializes in children, adolescents, and families. We have an opportunity to provide services to a local organization who is needing to refer several children and their families to therapy with the assistance of the state and county. We will strongly consider this position to be part time.

Interested clinicians will be responsible to provide both in-person and virtual counseling/therapy at our Lillington location. Occasionally, group therapy sessions may be considered or offered at
Butterfly Counseling. There may be a need to have this clinician on-site at a local organization who is desperately needing our services.

Position Responsibilities:
● Clinician will provide clinical mental health counseling and related services to, for, and on behalf of the clients of Butterfly as needed and as scheduled. Services may be provided in-person at our Lillington location or virtually on site or at clinicians home.
Services may also be off-site at a local organization.

● Clinician will provide services for which the clinician is qualified and licensed in those specialities. Collecting and interpreting client information to perform proper assessments and diagnosis.

● Clinician will be engaged on a full-time or part-time basis and will provide appropriate client care in person, teletherapy, and/or through other various avenues at the discretion of Butterfly Counseling that are in accordance with acceptable clinical practices and standards at all times.

● Clinician will maintain the standards and professional ethics of Butterfly Counseling and those of the clinician profession.

● Clinician will maintain their own caseload and work times and days as discussed and agreed upon with Butterfly Counseling.

● Clinician is responsible for completing client notes in a timely manner.
● Clinician is to assist clients in setting reasonable and achievable goals and reach their goals for counseling.
● Clinician is to establish trusting and positive rapport with clients.
● Clinician is to diagnose and treat clients for mental health disorders.
● Clinician is to determine if client needs additional services that are not your realm of knowledge and comfort.

Qualifications:
● Master’s Degree in Human Services Field (i.e. Social Work, Psychology, Counseling,

Mental Health)
● Active Licensed Mental Health Clinician in good standing in the state of North Carolina

(Associated License is acceptable as long as clinician has their own supervisor)
● Must have a desire to work with children, adolescents, families.

Preferred Qualifications: (not required)

● EMDR Trained
● Play Therapy

Pay: $22.00 - $75.00 per hour
