Position Scope/Summary

Operate machines and equipment used in the manufacturing of products and will work with other employees to effectively meet or exceed expectations for product quality and production rates. Machine Operators must have a basic knowledge of how to set up, operate and maintain manufacturing machinery and equipment. Machine Operators must obtain a basic knowledge of visual and dimensional inspection techniques.

Key Result Accountabilities

  • Adheres to company safety, conduct sanitation, and follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) in all areas of responsibility
  • Follows established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
  • Responsible for efficiently operating and maintaining assigned production line equipment
  • Capable of efficient and timely start up for production runs
  • Capable of trouble shooting assigned equipment during production runs
  • Complete required documentation (weights, time checks, and sign off sheets) in an accurate and timely manner
  • Perform line checks and testing as required
  • Assist line associates to attain performance criteria as it relates to Safety, Quality and Productivity
  • Respond to changes on packaging to assist line associates and maintain efficiencies

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 12-18 months as a Machine Operator B
  • Proficient on at least two (2) pieces of production line equipment as outlined in the operator training plan
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively train others to operate production line equipment
  • Knowledge of BVF Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)

Environmental Working Conditions

  • Employee must comply with all safety policies and safe work procedures established by the company. Job tasks may also involve:
  • Using personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, goggles, gloves, and other equipment as established in company policies and safe work procedures. Compliant with the uniform policy.
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds, anything over should seek assistance
  • Frequent carrying, bending, standing, sitting, and repetitive motion
  • Employee will be expected to attend safety training, serve on the facility safety committee and participate in hazard analysis and resolution

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
