Job description
Competitive candidates will have worked in a construction or warehouse environment performing construction or semi-skilled maintenance work. The most competitive candidates will possess experience working in a comparable landfill or recycling facility and will have experience that required heavy manual labor (lifting heavy items daily). The department also desires candidates with experience in field work as a member of a work crew using various hand and power tools.
The selected candidates for the Maintenance and Construction Worker positions will work a 4/10 schedule which will include every other Saturday, and will drive to other landfill worksites as needed.
Qualified applicants may be considered for future vacancies throughout the County.
