Job description
A local four-year university in the heart of Seattle is looking to add a Maintenance Custodian to their team. This school is the largest independent university in the Northwestern US, with over 7,500 students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs.
The Maintenance Custodian will work to support the Building and Grounds Services as well as the Residential Facilities, and are an integral part of the operations and maintenance of the university.
No previous maintenance experience required – the university will provide ample training.
This temporary role is projected to last through September.
Maintenance Custodian daily responsibilities will include:
- Dusting and vacuuming residence halls.
- Collecting and disposing of garbage.
- Repair, replace, and maintain building locks.
- Maintain building plumbing systems including sinks, showers, toilets, and circulation systems.
- Responding to incoming work tickets through email.
Qualifications:
- Availability through the end of September, including weekends.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Basic computer proficiency.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
- From June - September, work schedule will change to include weekends.
Pay: $20/hr (weekly pay every Friday)
Location: Capitol Hill area of Seattle
