Job description

  • Assist in training and advancement of other mechanics.
  • Willing to train on any shift.
  • Capable and willing to successfully complete required classes and on the job training to progress to a Maintenance Mechanic “A”.
  • Must be able to wire three phase motors for proper rotation.
  • Capable of minor electrical troubleshooting.
  • Machinery repair.
  • Power transmission repair, rebuild and installation.
  • Pump repair or rebuild, centrifugal, diaphragm, and progressive.
  • Welding, Stick flat and horizontal, AWS code.
  • General automotive servicing.
  • To perform other duties as assigned.
  • To be familiar with all plant policies and comply with Company rules and regulations.
  • To perform operations in accordance with established safety practices.
  • Must be physically capable of handling all of the requirements of this classification.
  • To be aware of the company’s Q.A policy and objectives. To observe these policy provisions and fulfill in all respects the requirements of his/her job. Q.A procedures as defined in the quality manual shall be strictly observed.

Experience

Preferred
  • 2 year(s): Education/Experience/Skills: Required:  High School Diploma or GED Desired:  2 or 4 year trade school degree or certification in maintenance related field.  2+ years experience

Education

  • Associates or better in Mechanical Systems or related field
