Manager - Analytics

As an analytics manager you will help define, execute and support the data and analytics strategy for NYP’s Quality and Coding and Documentation Improvement (CDI) organizations. You will partner with administrative, physician, IT and senior executive leadership to set priorities and help them achieve their strategic objectives. You will understand their business and clinical objectives and contribute to decision-making by producing data-driven insights.
You will lead and develop a team of 5-6 data analysts to fulfill and meet stakeholders’ analytic goals and needs. The incumbent will also contribute to a culture that emphasizes data quality by identifying and addressing expected and unforeseen data complexities to mitigate their impact on the analytic outcome and associated business decisions. You will clearly communicate data issues to the recipients and work to improve data quality where possible within the analytical models you create.
Required Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (Master’s preferred).
- Healthcare experience.
- At least 5 years analytics experience including 2 years of leadership experience as manager or equivalent level, leading an analytics team.
- Strong SQL and data mining skills (R, Python, SAS, etc. are a plus)
- Epic Clarity data model certification (or attainment within 6 months of employment)
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to perform complex analysis and make recommendations based on statistical inferences. Experience with a wide variety of analytical or statistical methods.
- Strong working knowledge of Business Intelligence products (Tableau, SAS, Power BI, MicroStrategy, etc.)
- Excellent oral and writing skills; ability to communicate effectively with varying audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to articulate goals, plan and implement processes to achieve those goals, recognize and assess the implications of confounding variables, and meet deadlines.
- Advanced interpersonal (e.g., mediating, mentoring, teaching) skills required to service internal and external clients effectively.
- Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to work independently, and to exercise independent judgment in developing complex techniques or programs in a dynamic environment.

Salary Range:
$128,500-$195,500
