Position: MCRT Clinical Coordinator
Hours: 35 hours / Full-time flexible
Salary: $80,000
Reports To: MCRT Director
Location: Mount Vernon, NY and New Rochelle, NY
Position Summary: The Guidance Center of Westchester is partnering with the Westchester County Department of Community Mental Health and local law enforcement to provide mobile crisis response teams who will be dispatched to an individual’s home or any community setting where a crisis may be occurring to provide brief interventions and facilitate access to other crisis/behavioral health services. The multidisciplinary mobile crisis response team will provide appropriate care and support while avoiding unnecessary emergency department use and hospitalizations. Mobile crisis response teams will also co-respond with local law enforcement, if possible, when requested.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate mobile crisis response team implementation and daily operations.
- Supervise mobile crisis response team social worker(s), mental health counselor(s), peer team members, and assistant, completing performance evaluations for each team member.
- Facilitate team meetings, create coverage schedules, market the mobile crisis response team services within the community, represent the team at community provider meetings as needed.
- Provide direct care as a lead clinician on the team, including assessment of behavioral health symptoms and crisis related needs; involving identified family and friends to resolve the individual’s crisis; development of a safety plan or crisis prevention plan; providing linkage to services in the community; and providing clinical documentation of outreach and interventions provided.
- Work in compliance with Mobile Crisis Response Team, agency, and regulatory procedural guidelines.
- Generate and review reports as needed.
Qualifications:
- New York State Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required. LMHC or LMSW with experience considered.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience working with individuals with mental health and/or substance use challenges
- Clinical/team supervisory experience
- Skills in clinical triage and assessment of emergency, urgent, and routine calls.
- Familiarity with Westchester resources to support a variety of complex needs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Positive attitude and demeanor
- A passion for engaging with community members as well as team members
- Flexibility with hours as may require some evenings and weekends (for coverage)
- Bilingual English and Spanish speaking a plus.

- This is an onsite position
Travel Requirements:
50% throughout Westchester as needed.
