Schedule: Mon - Fri Flex Overview:
a. Assigns new merchant referrals from branch and department personnel to the correct merchant representative.
2. Branch Support, Merchant Member Support, handling Merchant Hotline calls.
a. Able to answer questions about merchant services, involving vendor or merchant sales reps when needed
4. Assisting with Reports.
a. Assist Business Development Manager to monitor monthly reports for:
i. Merchant Service Profit and loss statement
b. Track statistical information from each merchant service representative
5. Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
a. Keeps work area clean, secure, and well maintained.
6. Merchant Services Support Projects.
a. Additional projects as assigned to support development of merchant services Qualifications:
Required Knowledge:
Skills/Abilities:
Responsible for performing a wide variety of service and sales administration support duties related to Merchant Services. Assist with reviewing merchant referrals, merchant account chargebacks, inbound and outbound member service calls and troubleshooting, assists with the onboarding and relationship management of merchant services and business accounts, uses sales and service skills, assist with trainings, monitors and completes assigned reports. Performs miscellaneous support functions as assigned.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist Merchant Sales Representative.
a. Assigns new merchant referrals from branch and department personnel to the correct merchant representative.
b. On boards new Merchant Members
c. Follows Merchant Processing Accounts for PCI compliance certifications.
d. Assist with responding with concerns from merchant members
e. Assist with branch training to encourage branch referrals by providing assistance to branch personnel on submitting merchant referrals through referral channel.
f. Reviews merchant referrals for processing needs, recommends pricing information for smaller Merchants.
g. Send correspondence to the business, for additional documents as needed.
h. Prepare new merchant applications and documents to send into processor for decision on merchant services.
i. Assist in sales efforts, checking in and support in taking merchant sales from approved to activation.
2. Branch Support, Merchant Member Support, handling Merchant Hotline calls.
a. Able to answer questions about merchant services, involving vendor or merchant sales reps when needed
b. Able to research and resolve situations for the benefit of the credit union and the business.
4. Assisting with Reports.
a. Assist Business Development Manager to monitor monthly reports for:
i. Merchant Service Profit and loss statement
ii. Monitor pricing and income for merchant services through Varicent
iii. Merchant Servicing Log
iv. Referral Management Logs
v. Completes Inventory Equipment Log
vi. Completes Seasonal Accounts Information
b. Track statistical information from each merchant service representative
c. Works required reports and records are accurate and timely.
5. Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
a. Keeps work area clean, secure, and well maintained.
b. Help with department purchasing and supplied as directed by management.
c. Maintains the Credit Union’s professional image and reputation.
d. Attends and participates in meetings as required.
e. Assists coworkers with questions and problems courteously and promptly
f. Obtains and conveys information as requested.
6. Merchant Services Support Projects.
a. Additional projects as assigned to support development of merchant services
Training/Education/Experience:
High school graduate or equivalent. Coursework in general office skills.
Required Knowledge:
Understanding of Credit Union operations, systems and applications.- Is competent in all essential computer applications required for the development of credit Unions business, and related to increased profitability of the credit union.
- Exceptional knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Thorough knowledge of Merchant Service Procedures
- Thorough Knowledge of Business Remote Deposit Procedures
- Thorough knowledge of Business entity procedure
