The National Trainer II is responsible for input on development, presentation, and implementation of technical training for plumbers/contractors across training facilities, with a strong focus on the input to development and delivery of technical content. This role helps develop curriculum and presentation materials for Water Heater Division products in field settings and national training centers and provides a world-class experience for plumbers/contractors utilizing live fire demonstration areas to include installations, service, and troubleshooting training. Provide necessary field support training for plumber support (contractor outreach) and outside sales teams.
This position will serve our Water Heater Division, located in Roswell, GA.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Conduct training as needed at Rheem or customer location. National travel will be required.
- Support development of new curriculum for the training centers for which the Technical Trainer is responsible. New curriculum will include incorporating Rheem/Ruud values, brand promise and selling propositions into all training material – technical and business training.
- Work closely with the brand team, sales team, product team, engineering, field support and customers in developing and executing training programs. Responsible for supporting all new product launches with sales, product and technical training.
- Support commercialization of training (Rheem Academy and Ruud University) programs.
- Incorporate mobile tools, cutting edge technologies and new learning mechanisms to continuously.
- Establish comprehensive metrics and reports to monitor training program progress and make adjustments to strategy to deliver results.
- Work with plumber support team to provide ongoing technical training by utilizing feedback received from the field.
- Develop and maintain equipment and piping in live fire demonstration areas.
- Develop specific training techniques to ensure training flexibility for ‘hands on’ training to include installation, servicing and troubleshooting material.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or Training related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of business or training experience.
- Certified Licensed Plumber.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of water heaters, including their installation, service, and replacement.
- Ability to create and deliver executive presentations.
- Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
- Strong project management skills and a track record of success meeting deadlines.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Demonstrated teamwork skills critical for success in this cross-functional position.
- National travel is required up to 70%.
HOW TO STAND OUT
- Previous customer-facing training experience, especially in the water heating or HVAC industries.
- Strong product knowledge (water heaters).
- Certifications and ongoing skills development in training field.
