We have an exciting opportunity for part-time Dental Assistants to work in the Albuquerque IHS Dental Clinic. This position would be working Mondays and Wednesdays. This is a great opportunity to provide exceptional care to urban Native American and Alaskan natives. This facility has 21 dental operatories and will increase to 26. This position will allow you to experience a variety of different tasks.

Job Duties:

• Prepares patient and operatory unit for proper dental procedure including setting up the appropriate instruments for the planned procedures
• Performs orthodontic assisting duties which encompasses most routine orthodontic adjustments in the specialty of orthodontics
• Demonstrates proficiency in sterilization and disinfection techniques
• Completes laboratory work orders in compliance with dentist's instructions
• Assist in office and orthodontic supply inventory
