The Company operates 25 commercial truck dealerships through two operating companies – Dobbs Peterbilt and Western Truck Center. These dealerships represent some of the best commercial truck brands including Peterbilt, Volvo, Mack, Autocar, and Hino and include locations in Arkansas, California, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oregon, Tennessee, and Washington.

I. General Job Description

The Parts Sales Program Manager is responsible for managing the eCommerce FOCUS Program by continuously growing parts sales through utilizing the robust sales analytic features in FOCUS. Deliver high quality implementations, training and support services for Dealers. Display strong communication a proactive leadership style, and exhibit teamwork across departments.

Responsibilities

Parts Product Business Plan Objectives

  • Manage the process to ensure quality implementation and set-up of FOCUS.
  • Includes training Outside Sales and Counter sales employees on the powerful FOCUS sales analytics tool.
  • Deliver Web-based training sessions to highlight the functionality within FOCUS.
  • Manage sales process from sales order to invoicing.
  • Manage eComerce sales analytics system to create campaigns and identify sales leads for dealers. Manage the internal data sharing between departments in order to leverage sales intelligence within FOCUS.
  • Create system enhancements and reports that make it easier for dealership locations to gain additional parts business using Focus.

Parts Inventory Management

  • Parts are sourced to the supplier/OEM with the best combination of quality, service, price, order quantity, and availability.
  • Tools such as Managed Dealer Inventory (MDI) are utilized to ensure inventory levels (turns, fill rate, surplus, and obsolete) are optimized.
  • Physical parts inventory is properly controlled and accounted for on an ongoing basis.
  • Parts cores are secured and processed promptly.
  • Premium freight expenses are minimized.
  • Purchase orders, accounts payable, and receivable accounts, and transactions are properly managed with credit and accounting.

II. Minimum Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis on business or transportation or equivalent work experience.
  • 10 years of experience in the Class 8 truck/transportation industry.

III. Desired Job Qualifications

  • MBA
  • Proven experience in customer service.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills.

  • Comprehension: Ability to understand opposing points of view on highly complex issues, negotiate, and integrate different viewpoints.
  • Organization: Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules of others on long-term basis.
  • Reasoning & Decision Making: Ability to make decisions with significant impact on department’s credibility, operations, and services.
  • Communication: Ability to formulate complex and comprehensive materials, such as legal documents, authoritative reports, official publications of major scope and impacts, and make formal presentations.
  • Mathematics: Ability to compute, analyze, and interpret complex statistical data and develop forecasts and computer models.
