Job description

Hilton Clearwater Beach is seeking a highly organized PBX operator to manage and operate the hotel switchboard in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to provide quality operations which maximize guest satisfaction. In this role you will be responsible for answering incoming calls, and connecting internal and external callers with corresponding departments.

To insure success as a PBX operator, you should possess excellent interpersonal skills and competency in PBX phone systems. Top-notch PBX operators are multitasking experts who create a positive experience for every caller they assist.

Essential Functions:

• Answer all incoming calls promptly in a professional and courteous manner.
• Answer all hot line calls and follow through in resolving guest problems and / or requests courteously and accurately.
• Handle all emergencies according to established procedures.
• Be familiar with hotel, it's services and the local area.
• Be familiar with reservation procedures, assist as needed.

Knowledge and Skills:

Education: High school education or equivalent experience

Skills and Abilities:

• May require knowledge of multi phone line system.
• Previous experience as a PBX operator or a similar role would be advantageous.
• Exceptional ability in professional telephone etiquette
• Extensive experience with answering and directing calls, as well as relaying accurate messages.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
