Specialty Pharmacy Manager
Coosa Valley Specialty Pharmacy
Sylacauga, AL
As a full time, exempt CPS Solutions, LLC Pharmacy Manager, Specialty Services at Coosa Valley Medical Center you will oversee the operations of the specialty pharmacy service line. Duties includes plans, organizing, setting controls, and supervising activities in the Specialty Pharmacy according to policies, standards of practice of the profession, and State and Federal laws. You will also recommend innovations in the practice and function of the specialty pharmacy to administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs.
Schedule: This position is scheduled to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5pm, day shift.
About the Facility: Coosa Valley is Joint Comission Accredited acute-care hospital licensed for 168 beds located in Sylacauga, Alabama . This facility serves Talladega and surrounding counties. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.
About the Pharmacy: : The Specialty Pharmacy utilizes PioneerRx. Pharmacy is open 8:30am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday,
Required Qualifications:
- B.S. or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy
- Alabama Pharmacist licensure active and in good standing
- 3 years of experience in a retail and/or specialty pharmacy preffered
- 1 years of experience in a pharmacy supervisory position in a hospital, specialty or retail setting preffered
- Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
- Good communications skills
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
Hospital Requirements: (may be required)
- (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
- (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
- Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
- Hep B3 Series (or declination)
- (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
- COVID Vaccine-Full (required)
