JOB SUMMARY: The Pharmacy Technician I assists the pharmacists in performing a variety of technical duties related to the preparation and distribution of drugs. The duties require knowledge of and skill in various oral and intravenous dosage forms. Duties are performed under the supervision of a pharmacist. Performs other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School diploma or state high school equivalency certificate (GED)
Experience: Six months’ prior pharmacy experience preferred
Other: Completion of a pharmacy technician training program is desirable
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Range of motion within functional limits. Constant walking, standing, near vision to normal range. Occasional work with arms overhead standing, work bent over standing/stooping, use of both hands together, far vision to normal range. Frequent deviation from neutral position of wrist (opening bottles). Frequent use of either hand, visual color discrimination, visual depth perception, functional vision and hearing. Occasional pushing 20#, pulling 15#, lifting 3# to 78" height from 8" from floor. Frequent manual/finger dexterity. Occasional use of stepstool depending upon height of teammate.

Schedule: Full Time, Flexible to work any shift, M-F 6:30 a to 9p; S-S 7a-7p
