Greetings! We are currently seeking Certified Physician Assistants (PA-C) to work full time or part time at a Psychiatric Hospital in El Paso, TX.

Schedule is flexible and open to discussion.

You will work a combination of inpatient and outpatient.

In the hospital we have different inpatient units each capping at 20 patients — one is for general psychiatry cases (schizophrenia, bipolar, major depressive disorder, etc); another is for substance abuse and detox ; and another is for military / veterans / first responders who are receiving psychiatric care. We have an additional inpatient unit that will be opening up specifically for substance abuse (approx 12 beds). We also have an outpatient (PHP/IOP) program at the hospital.

You will be working with a doctor who is a renown psychiatrist in the city for his contributions to psychiatry as a whole and his ongoing mentorship to many physicians in the community. He was recently awarded the distinction of Distinguished Life Fellow by the American Psychiatric Association. He has been in practice for over 35 years and has taught thousands of students from medical schools and universities from all over the country. He currently precepts medical residents, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners, so we are VERY happy to hire new graduates and provide mentorship for your transition into the field. On our team of providers are also already two Physician Assistants and two Nurse Practitioners. We are a small team operating within a large hospital and also another small location and we are very welcoming and easy to work with.

As for El Paso, it is a beautiful mountainous city that is rapidly growing and diversifying. The scenery is truly beautiful and if you love hiking, we have MANY mountain ranges and state parks here to choose from. People here are extremely welcoming. The food is delicious. Every day new restaurants, bars, cultural centers, and other activity centers open as many both large companies (like Amazon) and small entrepreneurs are opening businesses here. Since we are a border city with Mexico, many people here are bilingual in English and Spanish. In recent decades we have had a lot of people moving in from all parts of the world and also from many U.S. cities since the cost of living here is very low in comparison to what it is in other cities.
