Job description
The Riverside University Health System - Department of Public Health is recruiting to fill a Physician position with Children's Medical Services (CMS). CMS includes several programs including California Children’s Services (CCS), a statewide program that arranges, directs, and pays for medical care, equipment, and rehabilitation for children with serious medical conditions, an extremely vulnerable pediatric patient population.
The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing CCS case management and eligibility services, reviewing CHDP provider applications and determining participant eligibility, providing education to nurse case managers, and providing clinical support to the medical teams consisting of RNs, Occupational Therapists, and Social Workers. This is not a patient centered position and requires board certification in Pediatrics or certification in a Pediatrics sub-specialty. The schedule is a 9/80, with every other Friday off.
Physician III/IV are the fully qualified Board Certified classes in the Physician series. Incumbents in these classes serve as medical specialists. In addition, incumbents may be required to assist in directing the work or providing instructions to medical students, residents, interns, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, as well as physicians. There is no direct supervision of staff required.
