About the role:

We're hiring a Propagation Research Manager to oversee all activities related to strawberry plant propagation, propagation methods, propagation research activities, and propagation strategy. As a Propagation Research Manager, you will work closely with our senior R&D leadership, company level operations managers, and farm operations staff to ensure that propagation efforts meet the company's strategic priorities. You will conduct research activities at our state of the art strawberry research facility and manage propagation and research partners.

What you'll do:

• Maintain deep understanding of company strategy as well as farm development and plant variety plans in order to develop and manage propagation efforts in accordance with company needs
• Manage all propagation activities and partners
• Develop and implement propagation research in house and with research partners
• Work closely with Oishii internal breeding program and external breeding partners
• Ensure that healthy, disease and virus free plants are propagated in sufficient quantities to meet growth plans
• Build industry leading vertical farm propagation program

Who you are:

• BS or MS in relevant field of study
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
• Strong communicator and able to develop and manage relationships with partners
• Highly analytic problem solver and strong data analysis expertise
